Sustainability at Origer
Sustainability is more than just a trend. Sustainability is a corporate philosophy and part of Origer's DNA. We have set ourselves the goal of taking responsibility towards people and the environment and counteracting climate change through the production of our products. As an essential part of the construction industry, we take on long-term responsibility and can, through our products and services, make an active contribution to a sustainable future.
In recent years there have already been increasing extreme price rises and shortages of building materials. Out of conviction, we therefore rely only on 100% recyclable products; whether glass, aluminium, wood, etc. As a regional company, we want to do our part and counteract the increased energy consumption of new production. In the coming years we want to do everything to use only products tested as sustainable.
Already today, many of our partners and system suppliers implement their own sustainability goals and thus take the first step in the production chain.
Sustainable certificates create transparency
To make sustainability measurable and binding, we are a member of recognised associations and certification systems. As a glass and aluminium constructor, we thus also benefit from the sustainability certificates of our suppliers and system suppliers.
Made in Luxembourg
The Made in Luxembourg label distinguishes companies established in Luxembourg that promote the Luxembourgish know-how of their products and services and thus set themselves apart from other brands, particularly within a strategy of internationalisation abroad.
DGNB
The DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) aims to help implement a holistic quality in planning, construction and operation. This holistic certification system therefore considers the environment, people and economic efficiency over the entire life cycle.
Wicona: Hydro Circal
Hydro Circal certifies that the aluminium used has reached a recycled content of more than 75% at the end of its life and is reintroduced into the circular economy.
BREEAM
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the oldest and most widely used certification system for sustainable construction.
ACERMI
ACERMI (Association pour la CERtification des Matériaux Isolants) certifies the quality and performance of the insulation used.
Cradle to Cradle
The Cradle to Cradle certificate is a tool for companies to demonstrate their successes and progress regarding environmentally friendly product design in a verifiable way. The Cradle to Cradle certificate certifies the use of environmentally safe, healthy and reusable materials, the use of renewable energy as well as strategies for the company's social commitments.
LEED
The LEED certificate (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognised certification system for ecological construction. It certifies that a building has been built and developed in an environmentally friendly way.
